As part of Volvo Trucks’ continuous effort to support the vocational market, Volvo recognizes the value of coordinating efforts between the OEM and body equipment manufacturers. Therefore, we have placed additional staff and resources to assist body builders with efficient, reliable, and high-quality truck body installation and operation.
Volvo’s Product Marketing and Body Builder Support Staff work together to properly spec units to facilitate body installation and to troubleshoot issues that may occur after the truck and body interface process has begun.
Support prior to vehicle manufacture
Gerald Saunders, body builder manager, is now available to provide direct support to Body Builders to ensure specifications are developed and applied to the order process for a seamless body installation.
Support after vehicle manufacture
A new Body Builder Support Group will assist salespersons, customers, and body builders with any issues that occur. This team includes Bruce Smith (Body Builder Support Manager), Andrew Szapacs, David Troupe and Greg Gale (Body Builder Support representatives). If you currently provide support to your local body installer, these new technical resources will supplement your relationship with the body installer.
Body builders can also find detailed information on the Body Builder tab of the VolvoTrucks website, under Parts and Services. Material on the site can be downloaded at no cost, and includes model year 2010 to current-year chassis, electrical, and PTO parameter logic, as well as legacy information.
