Volvo Trucks to showcase safety leadership, fuel efficiency and uptime solutions at ATA MCE 2026
Volvo Trucks North America will highlight its commitment to safety, customer success and uptime solutions at the American Trucking Associations' 2026 Management Conference & Exhibition (ATA MCE), October 17-20 at the Charlotte Convention Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. Visitors can meet with Volvo Trucks product experts in booth #26053 to discuss a new service contract offering, the fuel efficiency of the all-new Volvo VNL and the all-new Volvo VNR.
“At Volvo Trucks, we're focused on helping customers get the most from every truck,” said Peter Voorhoeve, president, Volvo Trucks North America. “Our total offer combines industry-leading trucks with connected services, financing, uptime solutions and dealer support to maximize productivity. The evolution of our service contract portfolio is the latest example of that commitment, providing customers with greater peace of mind, predictable maintenance costs and higher uptime.”
Keeping trucks maintained, and costs predictable
Every fleet can budget for an oil change. Budgeting for the unplanned driveline repair is harder, and a truck that falls behind on maintenance is the one most likely to produce that repair. The Volvo Blue Service Contract has helped fleets simplify maintenance planning and improve cost predictability. Volvo Trucks will discuss the next evolution of its service contract portfolio, designed to provide customers with additional tools to manage maintenance, uptime and operating costs with greater confidence.
Attendees can also learn how the fuel economy of Volvo's newest trucks lowers operating costs at a time when high diesel prices remain a challenge across the industry. The all-new Volvo VNL is engineered to deliver up to 10 percent better fuel efficiency than the previous generation, and the all-new Volvo VNR, which entered production earlier this year, delivers up to a 7.5 percent increase in fuel efficiency compared to the legacy model. Together they extend those gains across both long haul and regional haul operations.
25 years behind America's Road Team
ATA MCE 2026 marks Volvo Trucks' 25th year as the exclusive sponsor of ATA's America's Road Team, a program focused on safety best practices. Road Team Captains travel the country as safety ambassadors in a Volvo VNL 860 that pulls Interstate One, ATA's mobile "Show and Tell" exhibit housing a truck driving simulator and classroom, where the public sees firsthand the trucking industry's initiatives, including the newest safety technology, and the impact trucking has on everyday life. That same America's Road Team VNL 860 will be on display in the Volvo Trucks booth.
Future-ready products and technology on display
Volvo Trucks will display the all-new Volvo VNR 300, primarily assembled at New River Valley Assembly Operations in Dublin, Virginia, the largest Volvo Trucks manufacturing facility in the world, which also produces the all-new Volvo VNL. Volvo Group has invested $500 million to modernize and upgrade the New River Valley plant in Pulaski County to support production of the all-new Volvo VNL and Volvo VNR.
The company will feature an interactive virtual reality demonstration station from Volvo Academy, focused on safety. Visitors can explore Volvo's safety innovations, including collision avoidance systems, lane-keeping support and pedestrian detection, reflecting Volvo's vision Toward Zero Accidents and its long-standing leadership in protecting drivers and other road users.
The booth will also feature a Volvo Connect kiosk, where attendees can see the digital fleet management platform that offers self-serve remote programming, direct adjustment of the most common parameter updates, and proactive software updates, all helping fleets maximize uptime, improve operational control and simplify maintenance scheduling. Visitors can also use the kiosk's interactive service contract display to explore available coverage options and identify the right mix of preventive maintenance and repair protection for their operation. Between the trucks, the connectivity platform, the dealer network and the service contracts behind them, Volvo Trucks offers fleets a single source for the vehicle and everything that keeps it running.
