Volvo Trucks North America named Hickman Truck Centre, located in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador, as its 2020 Canada Dealer Group of the Year. The company was honored along with other top regional Volvo Trucks dealership groups during a recent virtual awards ceremony.
With its annual Canada Dealer Group of the Year Award, Volvo Trucks recognizes leading performance across several key areas, such as customer service, market share, growth of new truck and leasing sales, and parts sales performance. A key contributor to Hickman Truck Centre’s success in 2020 was securing an order of 62 Volvo VHD snowplow models with the province of Newfoundland and its Department of Transportation and Infrastructure.
“We are delighted to present this award to Hickman Truck Centre,” said Paul Kudla, managing director Canada, Volvo Trucks North America. “They should be extremely proud of their accomplishments as part of the Volvo Trucks family, especially after the many challenges this past year brought.”
Hickman Truck Centre is Newfoundland’s premier heavy-duty truck dealership. In addition to its Canada Dealer Group of the Year accolade, Hickman Truck Centre also received the 2020 Canada Dealer Market Share Development Award and the 2020 Canada Straight Truck Sales Award.
“As a first-time winner of the Canada Dealer Group of the Year Award, Hickman Truck Centre is honored to receive this special recognition from Volvo Trucks,” said Bert Hickman, dealer principal at Hickman Truck Centre. “Across every department, our team members worked incredibly hard all year to deliver exceptional service, and we look forward to continued success in 2021.”
