The New York Festivals TV & Film Awards celebrate the world’s best television and films. Volvo Trucks North America, in collaboration with STARK Film in Sweden, was recently awarded silver in Corporate Image: Brand Image for its 2018 National Truck Driver Appreciation Week video, “The Movers.”
 
“We created this video to showcase our gratitude for all that professional drivers do to keep the economy moving more than a year and a half ago,” said Magnus Koeck, vice president of marketing and brand management, Volvo Trucks North America. “Given the current situation with COVID-19, this video really hits home and is timelier than ever as drivers are proving to be the heroes we have always known them to be, delivering much-needed food, medications and other essentials to help during this pandemic.”

The winning video from Volvo Trucks North America showcases the daily lives of professional truck drivers and the efforts they take to move essential goods safely and on time, including driving long hours and missing time spent with family. It is an opportunity to thank drivers for their time and dedication because no matter the distance or load, they always get the job done.

Winners of the 2020 New York Festivals TV & Film Awards were selected by a grand jury of more than 200 international broadcast and film companies. Submission entries from more than 50 countries included brand image, broadcast journalism, documentaries, entertainment, sports coverage and streaming media.
