Based in Omaha, Nebraska, Turbo Turtle Logistics hauls mainly fertilizer, organic grain and livestock feed ingredients from North Dakota to Texas. When Brackett started the business in 2012, he wanted it to stand out. He’s done that with exceptional customer service, the right equipment and the eye-catching Turbo Turtle.

“The struggle with building a small company is being recognized, and it means something when our customers remember us,” Brackett said. “Turbo Turtle represents everything that we do. It’s fast enough to get it done, slow enough to get it right and green enough to be remembered.”

With routes that run from the Rocky Mountains to the Mississippi River, Brackett is pleased with the truck’s fuel economy and the performance of the Volvo D13 engine with 500 horsepower and 1,850 ft.-lbs. torque.

“Compared to my previous truck, I was able to cut my fuel tanks down from 100 gallons to 75 gallons, each while still maintaining the same driving range,” he said.

Soon another Turbo Turtle will be traveling the roads in the Midwest and beyond. Brackett has placed an order for a 2017 Volvo VNL 630 model that includes the Volvo I-Shift with Crawler Gears. I-Shift with Crawler Gears is a new option designed for applications where slow speed maneuverability and startability are needed.

The “Welcome to My Cab” video series is a way for professional truck drivers to showcase their vehicles and inspire others who are interested in the trucking industry. Volvo drivers can submit their stories and images of their trucks through Volvo Trucks North America social media channels, to enter for a chance to be featured in future episodes.

“This latest episode of the ‘Welcome to My Cab’ series is another example of the passion our customers have for their trucks,” said Magnus Koeck, Volvo Trucks vice president, marketing and brand management. “Companies like Turbo Turtle Logistics and the services they provide are vital to our economy, and we look forward to hearing from more drivers in the future.”
